This online packed course includes 260 slides in 8 sections, 20 lectures (more than 7:00 hours) and also along with a practical tutorial using ROSA software.
- If you need a certificate, contact us for the details.
- Video lectures, texts, slides and exercises have been uploaded and you can download it.
- To support you, you can contact us if you have any questions about the materials and content.
This course provides theoretical knowledge of the selection and design of membrane processes microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration(UF), nanofiltration(NF), and reverse osmosis(RO) and also a practical tutorial using ROSA software.
Your abilities at the end of this course:
- At the end of this course, you will be able to select an appropriate membrane for a process, according to the molecular separation size, materials, modules, operating mode and etc.
- You will be able to theoretically explain the membrane problems such as fouling, scaling, and concentration polarization and the causes behind them, how these problems influence membrane performance and how to minimize them using a suitable pretreatment, chemical methods, and etc.
- You will be able to design a reverse osmosis system theoretically and also using ROSA software (seawater and brackish water desalination) and how to evaluate it.
- In the end, a number of well-known membrane manufacturers will introduce to you their products, applications, new technologies, and so on.
Course Curriculum (Please follow the course schedule)
- Lecture 1: Course introducing, content and references (8:12)
- Lecture 2: Introduction to membrane process (18:35)
